Who we are
Tbilisi Digital School (the "School," "we," or "us") is a technology education center in Tbilisi. This policy applies to the tbilisidigitalschool.ge website and to our forms, courses, camps, and masterclasses. We process your personal data in accordance with the Law of Georgia on Personal Data Protection.
What data we collect
- From forms: your name, phone number, email address, message, and the course or event you are interested in. When you register a child, the participant's name and age. When you register for a course, optionally, the participant's personal ID number: only for the certificate. For corporate inquiries, the organization's name and identification code.
- When you subscribe to our newsletter: your email address and the date of your consent.
- When you register and pay: the selected group, payment plan, amounts, and invoice details. You enter your card details on the bank's secure page. We do not see or store your card number.
- During your studies: attendance, projects, and certificate data (name, course, date, number).
- For camps: with a parent's consent, information about allergies and dietary restrictions so that we can feed the child safely.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, and pages viewed. We use analytics and advertising cookies (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel) only when they are enabled on the website.
How we use it
- to respond to your inquiry and provide consultations;
- to register you for a course, camp, or masterclass, and for payments and reminders;
- to issue certificates and verify their authenticity;
- to send you our newsletter, only with your consent;
- to improve the website, using aggregated statistics;
- to fulfill obligations imposed on us by law, for example for accounting purposes.
Legal basis
We process data on the basis of your consent, to enter into and perform a contract, to fulfill a legal obligation, or within the scope of our legitimate interests, for example to keep the website secure. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
Children's data
For junior courses and camps, a child's data is provided to us by a parent or legal representative. We collect only what is necessary for learning and safety. We publish a child's photo or video only with a parent's consent, and we do not include the child's full name.
Who we share data with
We do not sell data. We share it only with providers that help us deliver our services:
- the hosting provider where the website and database run;
- the email delivery service;
- the bank whose page you use to pay;
- analytics services (Google, Meta), when they are enabled.
Some providers process data outside Georgia. In such cases, we use only providers that ensure an adequate standard of data protection. We disclose data to government authorities only in cases provided for by law.
Cookies
The website uses essential cookies that are required for forms and sign-in to work. Analytics and advertising cookies help us understand which pages are useful and how effective our advertising is. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The website will continue to work after you do.
How long we keep data
- Inquiries that did not lead to registration: 2 years from the last contact;
- Registration and payment records: for the period set by tax and accounting legislation;
- Certificate data: indefinitely, so that an employer or another institution can verify a certificate's authenticity at any time;
- Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe;
- Analytics data: according to the settings of the relevant service, for no more than 14 months.
Your rights
Under the law, you have the right to:
- request information about what data we process and for what purpose, and receive a copy of it;
- request that inaccurate data be corrected or updated;
- request that your data be deleted or that its processing be stopped if there is no longer a basis for keeping it;
- withdraw your consent at any time and opt out of receiving our newsletter;
- file a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia.
Send us your request by email, and we will respond within the time limit set by law. You can also unsubscribe from our newsletter using the link at the bottom of every email.
Security
The website runs over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Only employees who need the data for their work have access to it, and each of them only within the scope of their role. We regularly create backup copies of the database and store them securely.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant change on the website or by email.
