ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini: Which AI Assistant for Which Job

All three assistants handle everyday work well; the differences are in features, ecosystem and terms. A task-by-task comparison, a test you can run yourself and the privacy settings to check on day one.

ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini all handle everyday tasks well (writing, translation, summaries, ideas, code), so the “best” one depends on your task. The differences are in features, ecosystem and terms: Gemini connects to Gmail, Drive and Docs, ChatGPT offers a Word add-in (ChatGPT for Word) and Codex, and Claude’s plans focus on projects, file creation and Claude Code. For less common languages such as Georgian, test the same task in two assistants.

We do not promote any of these tools. All three change fast: new models and features appear every few months. So this comparison is based on official features, and you can check quality yourself with the test below.

What is the difference between ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini?

The table reflects October 2026. Plans and features change often, so check the current terms on the official pages.

Model names change even more often. As of October 2026, the latest releases are OpenAI’s GPT-6 family, Anthropic’s Claude Opus 5.5, Sonnet 5.5 and Haiku 5.5, and Google’s Gemini 4 (including Gemini 4 Argon). Every free plan has limits on messages, model versions and some features. For example, Claude’s free plan does not include Research or Claude Code, while Gemini’s free plan includes Deep Research.

Which AI assistant for which task?

The table shows what each assistant offers for a given task. It does not say which does it better: quality depends on your task, language and prompt.

How to choose? If your company runs on Google Workspace and your files are in Drive, Gemini’s integration is a natural fit. If you write in Word or code with Codex, ChatGPT’s integrations will help. If you mostly work in projects with documents and code, Claude’s projects and Claude Code are built for that. Image generation is built into ChatGPT and Gemini. Using two is often practical: one as the main tool, one for checking.

How well does AI work in Georgian?

You can write to all three in Georgian, but official support is described differently:

  • Gemini. Georgian is on Google’s list of supported languages, and Georgia is a supported country.
  • Claude. Georgian is not in Anthropic’s language evaluation table, but the company says Claude works in many languages beyond those benchmarked and recommends testing your own language. Georgia is a supported country.
  • ChatGPT. Georgian is on OpenAI’s list of supported interface languages, set under Settings, General, Language.

In practice, the quality of Georgian output depends on the task. General text is often good, but rare terms, idioms and grammatical cases can go wrong. Four habits help:

  • Clear instructions in Georgian. Ask for natural, modern Georgian that does not read like a translation from English.
  • Terminology. For specialised fields, give a short list of the terms to use.
  • A sample. Paste one paragraph in your style and ask the assistant to match it.
  • Review. Public or official text should be read by a person. Georgian lettering inside generated images is still unreliable, so add text in a design tool.

For detailed prompting rules, see how to write a good prompt.

Which one to start with: six typical situations

These suggestions tell you where to start testing, not which assistant “wins”. Make the final choice on results from your own tasks.

Who you areWhat to test firstWhere to start
StudentExplanations, summaries, sourcesGemini Notebook, ChatGPT and Claude projects
TeacherLesson plan, quiz, Georgian textThe same plan in all three, then compare
MarketerCopy, ideas, imagesChatGPT Images and Nano Banana for images, copy in two assistants

Compare them yourself: one prompt in two assistants

The most reliable comparison uses your own tasks. Take five real tasks, paste them identically into two or three assistants and score the results. Here are ready prompts to copy:

1. Write a 120-word email to a client whose order is 3 days late.
Tone: polite and apologetic, but not self-deprecating.
   End by offering two solutions.

2. Summarise the text below in 5 bullet points, one sentence each.
Then list what information the text is missing. [paste text]

3. Translate into natural, modern Georgian. Keep technical terms
in English in brackets. [paste English paragraph]

4. Explain inflation so that a 12-year-old can understand it.
Give one example from everyday life in Tbilisi.

5. Check this text for grammar and style errors. List each error
and the corrected version in a table. [paste text]

Score each answer from 1 to 5 on four criteria: correct language, natural style, factual accuracy and following the brief (length, format, tone). After a week, the table will tell you which assistant suits your work.

Tip from the lab

When comparing, paste each prompt into a new chat and switch off memory or personalisation for the test. Earlier conversations influence answers and make the comparison unfair. Run each prompt twice, because even one assistant can give two different answers.

What none of them does reliably

Despite the differences, all three share weaknesses, and knowing them matters more than picking an assistant:

  • Invented facts. A hallucination is when the model confidently writes a number, source or quote that does not exist. Check every important fact against a source.
  • Outdated information. Without web search, a model may not know recent events. Always verify laws, prices and deadlines with official sources.
  • Local context. Knowledge of Georgian law, local standards and terminology is limited. Use AI for drafts on such topics, not final answers.
  • Calculations. Long calculations can go wrong. Ask for step-by-step working or for a spreadsheet formula.

Privacy settings to check on day one

Each service has its own rules for data on personal accounts. As of October 2026:

  • ChatGPT. In Settings, then Data controls, switch off “Improve the model for everyone” if you do not want your chats used to improve models. Temporary Chats are not used for training but may be kept for up to 30 days for safety. Business and Enterprise workspace data is not used for training by default.
  • Claude. On personal accounts, chats are used to improve models only if you allow it in settings or if a conversation is flagged for safety review. Incognito chats are never used. Commercial products are not trained on by default.
  • Gemini. With Keep Activity on, chats are used to improve services, including models, and some are read by human reviewers. With it off, new chats are kept for up to 72 hours. Work and school accounts have different terms.

One rule applies everywhere: do not enter ID numbers, passwords, health data or client information into a personal account, whatever the settings. Age rules differ too; see the FAQ below.

Which plan should you choose?

Prices vary by country and billing period and change often, so check the current price on the official pages: ChatGPT plans, Claude plans and Google AI plans. Our advice is the same whatever the price:

  1. Use the free plans of two assistants on real tasks for a week.
  2. Note where you hit limits or missed a feature.
  3. Pay for just one: the one that best handles your most frequent task.
  4. Compare again in three months, because both may have changed.

Frequently asked questions

Which AI chatbot is best for Georgian?

There is no single answer: quality depends on the task and the model version. Georgian is on Google’s and OpenAI’s supported-language lists, while it is not in Anthropic’s language evaluation table. The most reliable approach is to compare them yourself with the five prompts above.

Is ChatGPT free?

ChatGPT has a free plan, but messages, the model version and some features are limited. Paid plans offer higher limits and more features. Claude and Gemini also have free plans; check the current terms on the official pages.

Can I use several AI assistants together?

Yes, and it is often useful: write in one and check facts and style in another. Just apply the same data rules in both.

Which is best for coding?

All three have their own coding agents: Codex for ChatGPT, Claude Code for Claude and Antigravity from Google. Which suits you depends on your language, codebase and environment, so test the same real task in two.

What is the minimum age for ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini?

The rules differ. OpenAI’s terms set a minimum age of 13, and users under 18 need a parent’s or legal guardian’s permission. Anthropic’s consumer terms require Claude users to be at least 18. Children under 13 can use Gemini only through an account a parent manages with Family Link.

Is it safe to enter personal information into an AI chat?

Do not enter sensitive data into a personal account. Check the training settings and use temporary or incognito chats where needed. Work data needs a business plan and company rules.
