Georgian AI Voice: Text-to-Speech and Voice Cloning That Work in Georgian

Not every AI voice speaks Georgian: the model matters as much as the service. A comparison, 7 steps to a 30-second voice-over, AI audio cleanup and the legal side of voice cloning.

As of October 2026, Georgian AI voice is available from a handful of services: ElevenLabs’ Eleven v3 and Eleven v4 models, two Georgian voices in Microsoft Azure (Eka and Giorgi), and Google’s Gemini-TTS, where Georgian is still in preview. Georgian text-to-speech sounds natural when you write the script for the ear, spell out numbers as words and check the result sentence by sentence.

Language support depends on the specific model, not just the service. ElevenLabs’ Multilingual v2 covers 29 languages without Georgian, and OpenAI’s official text-to-speech (TTS) list does not include Georgian at all. So check the model first, then choose a voice.

Tools for other tasks (chat, images, video, music) are mapped in our guide to AI apps.

Which AI voices speak Georgian?

The table is based on official language lists. “Yes” means Georgian is on the service’s official list, not that every word is pronounced perfectly.

ElevenLabs offers the most complete set for Georgian: voice-over, cloning, dubbing and transcription. On 28 September 2026 it released Eleven v4, which supports more than 90 languages, Georgian included. It takes direction from English tags in square brackets ([laughs], [whispers]) and from plain-language instructions. Eleven v4 accepts up to 10,000 characters per request and Eleven v3 up to 5,000; text-to-speech costs one credit per character.

The ElevenLabs free plan has no commercial licence: output is for non-commercial use only, and public posts must credit “elevenlabs.io” or “11.ai” in the title. As of October 2026, the commercial licence and Instant Voice Cloning start with the Starter plan ($6 a month, 30,000 credits), and Professional Voice Cloning with the Creator plan ($22 a month).

Microsoft Azure Speech is a developer service with two standard Georgian neural voices: female (ka-GE-EkaNeural) and male (ka-GE-GiorgiNeural). The free F0 tier includes half a million characters a month. They have no emotion styles or roles, so they suit narration for websites and apps better than an emotional ad. Gemini-TTS lists Georgian (ka-GE) as Preview in Google Cloud’s documentation, so test it first. Higgsfield’s Audio section includes ElevenLabs v3, v4 and v4 Turbo, so you can voice a video in the same workspace where you generate it, as described in our Higgsfield step-by-step guide.

A five-minute test for any voice

Run the same text through 2–3 services and listen on headphones. Include a number, a date, a time, an address, a question and a name in Latin letters, because that is where models slip most often:

გამარჯობა! დღეს, 21 ოქტომბერს, თბილისში 17 გრადუსია.
რა გეგმები გაქვთ შაბათ-კვირისთვის?
ჩვენი სახელოსნო ვაჟა-ფშაველას გამზირზეა და 10:00-დან 20:00-მდე მუშაობს.
ახალი კოლექცია უკვე Instagram-ზეა.

Score pronunciation, numbers, question intonation and pace. Then rewrite the numbers as words and generate again: the difference is usually obvious.

How to voice a 30-second video in Georgian: 7 steps

Take a 30-second reel for a ceramics studio in Tbilisi as the example; the process works for any video.

  1. Write for the ear. Short sentences (8–12 words), one idea each, no brackets or abbreviations. A chatbot can draft it; see how to use ChatGPT in Georgian for getting natural Georgian. Read it aloud with a stopwatch and cut if it runs over 30 seconds.
  2. Spell out numbers and abbreviations. Write “15%” as “fifteen percent”, “10:00” as “ten in the morning”, “25 GEL” as “twenty-five lari”, all in Georgian words.
  3. Write foreign names in Georgian letters if they sound odd, so “Instagram” becomes ინსტაგრამი. Spell brand names the way they should sound.
  4. Control pauses and tone. A comma gives a short pause, a full stop a longer one, a new paragraph longer still. In Eleven v3 and v4 you set the tone with an English tag such as [calm] or [excited]; one tag per paragraph is enough.
  5. Pick the model and voice. In ElevenLabs settings choose Eleven v3 or Eleven v4, not Multilingual v2. Generate each paragraph separately 2–3 times and keep the best take. Regenerate only the sentence that went wrong.
  6. Listen and fix. On headphones, mark words that sound wrong or swallowed. Fix them with a synonym, a different word order or a split sentence. Eleven v4 handles phonetic (IPA) spellings better, which helps with tricky brand names.
  7. Export and edit. Download the highest-quality file (for example WAV), duck the music under the voice and add Georgian titles in the edit. For background music, see how to make music with AI.

Here is a script line before and after the fix:

Bad: ახალი კოლექცია (20+ ნივთი) 1.11-დან, ვაკის სტუდიაში, 10:00–19:00.

Good: ახალი კოლექცია პირველ ნოემბერს ჩამოვა.
ოცზე მეტი ხელნაკეთი ნივთი.
გელოდებით ვაკის სტუდიაში, დილის ათიდან საღამოს შვიდ საათამდე.
Tip from the lab

Before you spend credits, read the script aloud and record it on your phone. Wherever you stumble, the AI will too. Keep a note of the model, voice and settings: every video for one brand should sound like the same voice.

Built-in speech in video models does not yet handle Georgian reliably, so you create the voice separately and make the character talk afterwards. That approach is covered in AI video and animation.

How to clean a real recording with AI

Often the best Georgian voice is your own. If the recording has noise or echo, AI is good at fixing it:

  • ElevenLabs Voice Isolator separates speech from noise, music and ambience. It takes audio and video files up to 500 MB and one hour, at 1,000 characters per minute.
  • Adobe Podcast Enhance Speech runs in the browser: upload a recording and download the cleaned version.
  • Premiere has the same feature in the Essential Sound panel: set the clip type to Dialogue, then Enhance. The Mix Amount slider keeps some natural room sound.
  • DaVinci Resolve Studio isolates voice with the DaVinci Neural Engine (in the paid Studio version).
  • CapCut has a voice enhancer and a background noise remover.

AI cannot rescue everything: overlapping speakers, loud music and clipped audio are hard for it. So record well first: a quiet room where curtains or a rug cut the echo, the microphone close to you, notifications off. Record ten seconds of silence at the start; that room tone hides cuts in the edit. If the voice sounds robotic after cleaning, lower the effect strength.

AI tools for subtitles, colour and sound in the edit are covered in AI for videographers.

Voice cloning: how it works and what is legal

There are two kinds of voice clone. An instant clone is made from a short sample; ElevenLabs says Eleven v4 needs about 10 seconds. A professional clone is trained on far more audio and is more accurate. In ElevenLabs you can create a professional clone only of your own voice, and the system verifies that the voice belongs to the account holder. In Microsoft Azure, a custom voice requires the speaker to record a consent statement, and Microsoft approves access to the feature separately.

Five rules to follow:

  • Written consent. ElevenLabs’ prohibited use policy bans cloning a living person’s voice without explicit, informed consent. Higgsfield’s terms also require consent before you upload someone’s face or voice.
  • Georgian law. The Law of Georgia on Personal Data Protection (in force since 1 March 2024) names voice characteristics among its examples of biometric data, and biometric data processed to uniquely identify a person is a special category. Put the purpose, where the voice will be used, for how long and how consent can be withdrawn in writing, and talk to a lawyer before a large commercial project.
  • The EU. If your audience includes the EU, Article 50 of the AI Act applies from August 2026: whoever publishes deepfake audio or video must disclose that it is artificially generated or manipulated. The duty is lighter for evidently artistic, satirical or fictional works.
  • Social media labels. Under Instagram’s rules, a reel narrated with a realistic AI voice must be labelled before you share it, or penalties may follow.
  • Scam protection. Scammers can clone a relative’s voice from a short clip posted online. The US Federal Trade Commission advises: don’t trust the voice, hang up and call the person on a number you already know. Agree on a family code word in advance.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a free Georgian AI voice?

Yes, for testing. The ElevenLabs free plan gives 10,000 credits a month, and Eleven v3 and v4 speak Georgian, but output is non-commercial only and must credit ElevenLabs. Microsoft Azure’s free tier includes half a million characters a month with two Georgian voices, though you need an Azure account.

Which AI voice sounds best in Georgian?

It depends on the voice, the text and the topic. Officially, Georgian is supported by ElevenLabs Eleven v3 and v4, Azure’s two voices and Gemini-TTS (preview), so run the test text above through 2–3 of them and compare by ear.

Can I clone my own voice and make it speak Georgian?

Yes. In ElevenLabs, instant cloning is available from the Starter plan and professional cloning from Creator. Choose Eleven v3 or v4 for Georgian output. ElevenLabs says that in Eleven v4 a voice recorded in one language can speak the others while keeping its own timbre.

Can I use AI voice-over in ads?

Yes, if you made it on a paid plan and have written consent from the owner of any cloned voice. On Instagram, label a reel with a realistic AI voice-over, and mention it in the client contract.

Why does AI read numbers and dates wrong?

A model cannot always tell whether “1.11” is a date or a number, and models have seen far less Georgian than English. The fix is simple: write numbers, dates, prices and abbreviations as words.

Next step

Start with the five-minute test, then voice one 30-second video and compare it with your own recording.
